What are Front-End and Back-End?

Front-End is the first layer which we face when we access a website, an intranet, or even a web-based system. The Front-End interface is where we find the navigation of a website, with the design of the page and its contact forms, for example. The structure of the Front-End is usually composed of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Flash.

The Back-End is the level of programming that involves database. MySQL, MS-SQL, Oracle, and SAP are part of the Back-End, which is responsible for the final processing of data received from the Front-End.
