What is pixel counter?
Pixel counter is a method of data collection. There is a code, called tag, that is implemented in each one of the banners that will be monitored, capturing information on impressions, unique users, frequency of viewing, overlapping sites, among other metrics. The data are sent to a server for analysis and summarization. The sending happens by requisition of an invisible image (transparent, with the size of 1 ×1 pixel) called pixel counter. Usually when there is a negotiation with Adservers platforms, the value of CPM for use is well below that of other business models.
